It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to be able to play the accordion. I know that may sound silly, but I’ve just always loved them.
Anyway, I finally picked one up at a pawn shop and I’ve been learning to play! There’s a series of online videos with instruction on a website I found, so I’m using those as well as a couple of method books that I picked up.
I’m doing pretty well with the right hand. It’s the left with all of the chord buttons that I’m having a little trouble with. Also the bellows stuff is a little hard to figure out, but I think I’ll actually be able to play a few things for our holiday party this year. Probably driving everybody nuts playing Christmas songs in September to practice, but that’s what it takes.
