Judging by the primary ingredients that most cosmetic companies use in their products, it would seem that the regular use of sunscreen must be the best way to prevent wrinkles. But, the whole subject of sunscreen use is controversial.
For one thing, the ones that disappear into the skin’s surface provide little or no protection from damaging UV rays. They do cause the production of free radicals in the skin’s cells, which is the same thing that UV exposure does. There are some good sun-screening ingredients, like titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, but you’ll notice that they do not disappear. My advice? Wear a hat and use a cream that prevents free radical damage.
