LPN stands for Licensed Practical Nurse. LPN’s tend to work as assistants to RN’s in hospitals, but they can work in health clinics, nursing homes, private homes, or other types of medical institutions. To get your lpn degrees you need to first get a High School diploma or GED. Second you need to graduate from an LPN accredited program. To get your license, you need to pass NCLEX-PN, which is a state administered test. After successful completion, you can then study to become an RN, or stay as an LPN and work in virtually any medical facility. Although, RN’s tend to make on average $26,000 or more per year.
