Last year I finished graduated college and I was anxious to start working as a graphic designer. I started my job search by contacting San Francisco Web Designers out of the phone book and sending them my resume. Everyone I spoke to said they had no openings. One person was really helpful, he said that most web designers end up opening their own companies because of the lack of stable work in the industry. He said it would be a good idea to do a little freelance work to build my resume and then try applying at a larger more advanced company.
