It was only upon arrival at the airport that we realized we would need a car for our stay in Auckland. Unfortunately we had not realized the expanse of the city. Luckily there was a car hire auckland depot at the airport and they had a car available for us. We got the car and headed downtown as we wanted to see the harbor before heading to our hotel. I see why they call it the city of sails, we could not get over the vast amount of yachts on the water and at the several different marinas and mooring points.
